Volunteers Younger than High School
Because we want to ensure volunteering is safe and enjoyable for all, the minimum age for volunteers on-site in the pantry is 18 years of age. Unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions for volunteers younger than high school at our location.
Here are great projects that children not yet in high school, scout troops, school classes, or other groups can do to help year-round:
Collect/donate healthy snacks: trail mix, granola bars, etc.
Collect and assemble paper and plastic bags for Pantry distributions.
Sponsor bake sales or “No-Bake” sales where would-be bakers have the option of sending in a donation instead. Collect cash donations outside local grocery stores.
If you are interested in touring our facility to coincide with your volunteer project, please contact Community Relations Director Jody Bender at email@example.com for scheduling information.
