Mission & History
Our vision is to end hunger in our community. Our mission is to provide food and leadership in the community
by uniting and mobilizing resources to empower people to be self-sufficient.
Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry was founded in 1984 and officially incorporated on August 6, 1991 as a
501(c)(3), not-for-profit corporation, for the purpose and mission of providing food and other essentials to
Naperville residents in need.
Thus, Loaves & Fishes was born out of the collective social conscience of our citizenry, and has been sustained
through a continually responsive call to action to utilize all resources at our disposal to end hunger in our community.
