In 2021, Loaves & Fishes launched Hub 1.0 to transform the food pantry model—centralizing distribution and expanding access to nutritious food across four counties. Since then, it has created transformative impact. We’ve reduced our cost to serve by 40 percent and are reaching three times as many clients across a broader region.

Today, food assistance has reached an all‑time high, and our existing capacity can no longer keep pace with rising community need.

Hub 2.0 will:

  • Expand the Hub facility to serve 2 to 3 times more neighbors.
  • Strengthen distribution across our growing service area.
  • Scale partner collaboration with food pantries and nonprofits through shared resources.

By doubling the size of our Hub, we can work with community partners to address rising need. Shared purchasing, streamlined logistics, and greater access to food will help the entire network reach more neighbors with more nutritious meals.

 

What Hub 2.0 Makes Possible

  • 32,000-square-foot expansion increasing our Distribution Hub capacity to 62,000 square feet
  • No-cost shared storage and expanded co-buying to reduce food costs for pantry partners
  • Expanded dock and logistics capacity to move food faster across the region
  • Nearly 5x increase in dry storage capacity to scale operations efficiently
  • 4x increase in cold storage to distribute more fresh food
  • Capacity to serve 2-3x more neighbors
