In Search of the American Dream

I moved here from Lithuania for better life. I lived here five years. I feel I’m working so hard all my life. I can’t get nursing certificate here. I love to help people. I love to learn. I love to work.

I moved here and start from scratch. I work two jobs but still not enough money.

I come to Loaves & Fishes for food and get help for rent too. There’s nothing like this back home. My daughter’s summer camp cost so much and I need her to go so I can work. My son has special needs. It takes a lot to help him.

People here in United States are wonderful. They help me from organizations. Everyone I meet is filled with love. They make me feel like good person and I can be proud of what I try for my kids. The people who help in these places, I see them being lovely all the time. I never knew people want to help so much. Someday, I do this for someone else.
