New Appointment to the Board of Directors

Loaves & Fishes Community Services is very pleased to announce the appointment of Nicki Anderson, Director of Woman’s Leadership Program at Benedictine University, to their Board of Directors.

“Nicki continues to enrich our community and culture with her vision, passion, and dedication.”  said Mike Havala, President and CEO of Loaves & Fishes.“We are honored to have her join our board and look forward to the impact she will make in advancing our strategic plan.”

“Loaves and Fishes has always stayed true to their mission of providing healthy food and impactful programs to promote self-sufficiency. As a volunteer of Loaves and Fishes on and off for over 20 years, I have seen how their mission continues to change lives. I’m honored to be selected as a Board member and will do my best to assist in moving the mission and vision forward” said Nicki Anderson.


The Essence of Volunteering

After thirty years of working in health care, I made the decision to retire and begin the next chapter in my life: I became a volunteer and I have never looked back. Volunteering at Loaves & Fishes Community Services and its CARES Programs has become my second career. The personal rewards just keep coming and I feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve others.

Loaves & Fishes Community Services works to fight hunger and food insecurity by making sure our community has enough food to eat. Why is this so important, and how can you help?
